Advanced In-House and Mobile Surgical Care

Advanced Imaging

Our pets can’t tell us where it hurts, so we use the most advanced technology available to find out for them. Our high-definition CBCT scanner captures thousands of data points to create a detailed 3D map of your pet’s mouth. This allows Dr. Colin to identify “hidden” pathology that traditional X-rays often miss. For you, it means a faster, more accurate diagnosis; for your pet, it means less time under anesthesia and a safer, more targeted treatment plan.

Independent Practice

At Omega, our medical direction is set by Dr. Colin and Dr. Kim, not a remote board of directors. Being an independent practice means we have the clinical freedom to recommend what is truly best for your pet, without being restricted by corporate protocols or preferred-vendor lists. When you’re in our exam room, the only “stakeholder” we’re thinking about is the one on the table.

Advanced In-House and Mobile Surgical Care

Providing both in-house and mobile surgery, Dr. Tong is available for your patient in our Inner Sunset facility or directly at their primary care hospital.

San Francisco’s Premier Dental Specialist

Omega is the only board-certified veterinary dental practice located within the city limits. We’ve eliminated the need for “bridge and tunnel” commutes to find world-class specialty care. By combining our Inner Sunset location and private parking with a focus on accessible, patient-first scheduling, we’ve made the “Gold Standard” of oral health care easier to reach than ever.

Frequently Asked Questions

We also offer specialist surgical support through Dr. Kim Tong. He specializes in complex orthopedic and soft tissue procedures. Dr. Kim Tong is available to travel to your regular veterinarian’s office, but he also performs consultations and surgeries right here at our 9th Avenue clinic. Whether you have been referred by your vet or are seeking a specialist’s opinion on your own, we can accommodate your pet’s surgical needs in our San Francisco facility.

While many veterinarians perform routine dental cleanings, a Board-Certified Veterinary Dentist has years of advanced training focused solely on the mouth and jaw. Dr. Colin has performed thousands of complex oral surgeries and advanced procedures, including root canals and other treatments not typically offered at a general practice. Because our team specializes exclusively in dentistry, we use advanced equipment and refined techniques to perform procedures with greater precision and efficiency. For your pet, that means expert care and, most importantly, less time under anesthesia.

Yes. Omega Veterinary Group is the only board-certified veterinary dental practice operating within the San Francisco city limits. Led by Dr. Colin Dick, our clinic is located in the heart of the Inner Sunset at 1333 9th Ave. We provide world-class oral surgery and diagnostics right here in the city, Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 am to 5 pm. We also offer a private parking lot for our clients.

A formal referral is not strictly required. While many of our patients are referred by their primary care veterinarians, pet owners are welcome to book a consultation with us directly. We will coordinate with your primary clinic to obtain your pet’s recent medical records and blood work results prior to your visit.

We understand that anesthesia is the primary concern for owners of senior pets. We use advanced 3D imaging to keep our surgery times as short and precise as possible. For our most complex or high-risk cases, we also offer the optional on-site support of a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to ensure the highest standard of safety.
