Dr. Kim Tong, DVM, DACVS (SA)
Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon
Dr. Kim Tong, originally from San Francisco, CA, discovered his passion for veterinary medicine through a transformative experience volunteering at an animal ER in San Diego during his undergraduate years. Despite not growing up with animals or pets and not being the typical “I want to be a veterinarian when I grow up” kid, he ended up on a rewarding journey in veterinary surgery.
Dr. Tong obtained his board certification in 2016 and has served the Bay Area community since coming back from his residency in New York City. In addition to his array of surgical expertise, he has specialized training in minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy, arthroscopy, orthopedics), neurosurgery, and advanced orthopedics. He serves our community with years of extensive education across various prestigious institutions.
Outside the operating room, he finds joy in spending time with his family, being a veterinary content creator on social media, and enthusiastically supports the Golden State Warriors and the San Francisco 49ers!
